"He is not here - for He has Risen!" - March 2015

...It would have been such a relief to hear those words after watching my King be crucified days earlier... I can relate on some level.

Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the successive Saturday tend to be tough and sad days for me.  I feel the weight of my sin and Jesus' sacrifice deeply, and am not able to go about my normal activities without a heavy heart. It's definitely been a tool for conversation with strangers and neighbors as they sense my sadness. Some think I'm weird, or that I take this religion thing too far.  Others appreciate the reminder.

This year, I'm contemplating telling someone on Good Friday that  'my best friend died today - and it was my fault'.  It's true, you know. Might be painfully effective too.  Reflecting on that truth makes Easter morning dawn even more bright and joyful, and my spirit is relieved to the point of dancing!

So, CELEBRATE with me this week - that we have a Savior from sin, and a Redeemer who is victorious over death, and that means.... we have an eternal CELEBRATION yet to come!!

I wrote a song about that CELEBRATION.  Listen to the clip HERE: "Celebration" clip, hear the whole song and purchase your own copy on the music page. Maybe check out the "Foot of the Cross" live performance on the video page as well.  Perhaps you would pass it along to bless someone else?

Abundant blessings are ours in Jesus!

'my best friend died today - and it was my fault'. Yes I remember this on your Facebook page, but the message is an all time message and I still feel the same way today. Thank you sister!
